The highest point on the mountain range is the best place for sightseeing in the beautiful hill station, it takes about 300 steps to reach Guru Shikhar. It is situated at an altitude of 5676 feet it is the highest peak in Rajasthan and is located at a distance of about 15 km from Mount Abu. The beautiful peak is famous for its natural beauty and has a temple named Guru Dattatreya who was the incarnation of divine Trinity (Brahma Vishnu and Shiva) people there enjoy the place for its religious significance and for its natural beauty. It is also believed that footprints of Swami Ramnath are also here. Also the name Guru Shikhar means ‘Peak of Guru’.
The Scenic beauty of the peak attracts thousands of tourists towards itself. There is also an observatory built here which is under the management of a Physical research laboratory.
Best time to visit-:
The best time to visit is during early morning or late afternoon which gives you a refreshing experience. The climate is very soothing during the time of winters as the cold winds are very pleasant so one should visit the peak during the month of November to February.
How to reach the beautiful peak-:
You can hire a private vehicle or a taxi or an auto which will take you to the start of the mountain. You can go through the Dilwara achalgarh road which is located 14 km from the Guru Shikhar Road and reach the top you have to climb 300 well-built footsteps.

The beauty by which the lake is surrounded makes it a very popular spot and attracts a number of visitors towards itself.
Achalgarh Fort –
The Fort is one of the most visited places in Mount Abu which attracts a very high number of tourist towards its side, which is located about 26 km from Mount Abu and was originally built by the Paramara dynasty later on the fort was renovated and renamed Achalgarh by the Mighty ruler Maharana Kumbha in 1452.
Dilwara Jain Temple –
Jain Temples are very famous temples built between the 11th and the 13th centuries. Dilwara Jain temple is one of the best specimens of architectural brilliance in the country, it is a complex of five structures. The temples are located at a distance of 2.5 km from the magnificent hill station. They are carved from white marbles and the interior of the temples are constructed through intricate designs.
Adhar Devi Temple –
It is an important shrine dedicated to Goddess Durga. After climbing 365 giant stairs you reach the temple. The temple is the best example of peace and tranquillity the views from the top are highly adorable. The panoramic views change the entire environment as it is a very beautiful adventure.
